RICH TAPESTRY OF LIFE (Or is it a Pageant?)

Fallen MaskI love the words tapestry and pageant, particularly relating to life. Life is a stage and we are the actors/actresses in the “lights”. To rise to the lead roles we need to be “our best self”. The self that has experienced life with its ups and downs and learned from mistakes and become better and better until finally we know who our best self is. The self that has become aware of the Law of Attraction (refer to post, “Finding Life’s Happiness”), applied it until it has become habitual and we have taken back our power.

USING OUR POWER VERSUS SUPPLEMENTS/PILLS

I ask myself “Has the human race become so lazy that they look for supplements/pills to “fix” every thing from improved focus, working memory, motivation, concentration and mood etc. We have become a society that looks to pills/supplements to protect against cognitive decline, aging, reducing stress not to mention brain fog”

Personal development/growth will beat those very same “ailments” in a more powerful way. Once one has committed to claiming back their own natural power, they will have it for life at no financial expense. Our personal power is unlimited, exciting, joyful, etc. Our personal power rewards us with all of life’s riches day, after day, after day.  Follow the above link and do the quiz to find out more about yourselves.

LET ME SHARE AN EXPERIENCE OF THE FLIP

I too, am faced with challenges in my days. This particular day I was work stretched and found myself feeling my work load was onerous and daunting. Suddenly I had a thought (my intuition is healthy) to look for the meanings of onerous and daunting in the dictionary to help identify my feelings. UGH! ONEROUS: Burdensome, wearing, oppressive, difficult and DAUNTING: deterred, discouraged, disheartened, disempowered. Boy, this had me really feeling down.

I immediately looked up the antonyms: Easy, Fluent, harmless, comfortable, strong willed, audacious, ballsy. Just reading and feeling what the words meant uplifted me to feeling so happy. I knew I was to choose the words I resonated with and chose AUDACIOUS, COMFORTABLE AND BALLSY. Now I had the antidote all I had to do was WEAR THESE ATTITUDES, just like we wear clothes and change them. Well, I put them on and I have been smiling at my audaciousness ever since.

My natural power is there for me all the time when I employ THE FLIP.  Is it time for you to claim your natural power?THE FLIP

EVIDENCE OF THE FLIP AT WORK

A close personal relative of mine had a motor vehicle accident two years ago. He has been physically challenged to the point of recently having his leg amputated above the knee. While waiting two months for it to heal inside he had to be careful not to fall on his stump or it would explode. Consequently he was thinking every day, “I must not fall, I must not fall”. Remember in the Law of Attraction we attract what we THINK, SAY AND DO. You guessed it, he fell, fortunately on a bean bag so no harm done. The next day he was AWARE of walking with his crutches so carefully and cautiously he felt unstable. So what did he do? THE FLIP. He said to himself ” WALK NORMALLY, WALK NORMALLY”, with his crutches of course He NAILED IT! Back came his confidence, comfort and stability he’d had before. Bless him.

TASK

  1. Be AWARE and embrace THE FLIP and use it 3 times
  2. Use the dictionary
  3. BEWARE OF THE MONKEY ON YOUR SHOULDER AND FLIP HIM TOO!
  4. Do the quiz

CONCLUSION

All of life’s riches are there for the taking for all of us. Personal Development/Growth will give us back our power,  our lives and our destiny. Please feel free to leave your comments and share your flip stories. They will make interesting reading as we grow together. If you have any questions, please ask and I will do my best to answer them.

  1. This was an interesting read. I agree with you that people have become so lazy nowadays that we use pills to fix everything. Unfortunately, there is no magic pill that’s going to fix it all. Many people don’t understand the power of personal development and how it can make all of us better people. I had a similar experience where I was so depressed one time and decided to look up some happy words and that had made me happy and positive. I am glad you mentioned this in your article. Thank you for sharing.

  2. Jill, I want to thank you for your insightful posts. I will be breaking the thesaurus out and dusting it off. I have a holiday planned with my parents, I have a feeling I’ll need the inner encouragement. Keep the great ideas and upbeat outlook coming!

    1. Thanks. That’s my intention. Actually I learn as I write. I really enjoy putting a post together. So glad you are finding them helpful. Enjoy your holiday with Mum and Dad. Cheers now, AJ
