WHAT IS A VISUALISATION

A Visualisation Is Synchronising Your Whole Body, In Advance, That You ALREADY HAVE ACHIEVED Your goal.  Why I Can’t Finish Anything. Learn To Visualise And You Will Finish.

I BOUGHT A COURSE AND DIDN’T FINISH IT!! WHY?

WHY? WHY? WHY? I asked myself! This is happening to so many I decided to find the answer for all of us.

What I’ve discovered:

What follows might not make any sense but my gut tells me it is related to my failure to finish the course.

VISUALISATION

This one thing that DID work for me brilliantly and can be applied to finishing a course.

THIS IS IMPORTANT! STAY WITH ME

Never in my wildest dreams did I consider myself beautiful let alone HOT at 70 years young.

I posted a photo of myself related to my business and the comments I received were incredible. Many saying I was beautiful and others saying I was HOT! I remember blushing as I read the comments.

The Photo Of Me
THE PHOTO OF ME

My visualisation had become a reality! WOW! The REASON I did my visualisation was for my self esteem, self worth so I could feel good about myself and look what happened! I tell you I feel wonderful about myself today!! Wouldn’t you?

READ ON TO SEE HOW THIS HAPPENED

I started talking to myself in the mirror a year ago. I repeatedly said: “You are beautiful, adorable and a perfect creation” every night. I did this with emotion, smiling at the thought of “I am a perfect creation” while feeling grateful for my whole complex being and my life.

WE ARE ALL PERFECT CREATIONS/A LITTLE ASIDE

A little aside but important thought. Whoever or whatever created us has talents and powers way beyond our imagination. Think about this: Our bodies function fully on their own, our brains are super computers etc. We are all perfect creations. Agreed?

Why I Can't Finish Things
VISUALISE AND YOU WILL FINISH

BACK TO ME AND THE MIRROR

Every time I went passed a mirror, I would say, silently or out loud, “Hello beautiful” and break out into the biggest grin and feel joy. Repetition has made this habitual.

WHY AM I SHARING THIS?

I now have proof, from my experience, that visualisation works. What if we applied it to finishing a course, a project, a weight loss goal or any other goal and not wasting money when we get stuck, find it hard, lose interest. I put my money on us all having the capability to succeed if we visualise achieving our goals.

LET’S PLAY

What are your suggestions for the visualisation to succeed and achieve? Let me know in the comments.

Here’s a couple that came to my mind:

    1. I’ve got this! Learning is uplifting and exciting. I feel GOOD! (Fist pump)
    2. I love this course, I’m growing into my successful self. WOW! (Fling hands in the air over your head)
    3. I love this course, it’s teaching me how to better myself. EXCELLENT! (Fist pump)
    4. I’ve got this! I’m on my way to a side hustle. YAY! (Clap your hands)
    5. I Can, I Will, End of Story. Course done and dusted! I DID IT!!!!! ((Wriggle your body with glee)

Dance Like Nobody Is Watching

NOTE: It is compulsory to employ your celebration emotions and your physical body for this to work. Don’t be shy – Dance like nobody is watching! When our emotions and body are completely involved the action becomes an experience not just a rote few throwaway words. You got it?

MINDSET

I swear visualisation will make you a winner.  Doesn’t hurt to check your mindset.  Here is a FREEBIE Check List.

I’m exploring this, so more to come. Watch this space!

  1. Hey have you been spying on me.  I am a champion starter and a a B- finisher.  The title caught my eye for this very reason.

Funny thing is I think that I am slightly schizophrenic in that I am a different finisher at work than I am at home.  Is this because the imperative is greater?  Is it because I can live with the consequences of not finishing in my home life because there is no effective sanction?

How would you suggest that visualisation could help me to be as  good a finisher at home as I am  at work.

Please help and you will make my wife the happiest woman in the world!

    Regards

    1. Hi,  Thanks for joining the conversation.  Only you know why you don’t finish in your home life.  Simply visualise whatever home task you are doing right now and see yourself finishing, feel the glee that you will feel, celebrate finishing, throw your hands in the air and yell “I DID IT!”  This is a REPETITIVE REHEARSAL process.  It won’t cut It to do it once.  Try 15-20 times, if you still don’t finish, do more repetitions until it does.  Your brain will record that finishing this task is IMPORTANT and even help you to finish!  Wonderful process.  Go for it!  Cheers Jill

  2. Hi, all successful people will tell you how important visualization is. Any professional athlete or high performer will both say that visualisation is a very important element of achieving your goals. By seeing our goals as already achieved and visualising them in as much detail as possible, while trying to get the feeling, we’ll give our subconscious mind the right guidance as to where we want to be in our future. Allowing it to happen for us.

    1. Hey Jake, You got it!  By repetition and rehearsals seeing we have achieved what we want, we send a message to our brain saying “this is important”.  Once our brains accept the importance they will work with us to help us achieve the results we want.

One or two visualisations won’t cut it.  It is not a quick fix.  We need to do many rehearsals, maybe for months, to achieve best ever results.  Thanks for contributing.  Cheers Jill
